Dallas Glamour hits London, courtesy of Nick Ede…

On Wednesday night last week, our fabulous Creative Director, who you may know a TV Style and Brand expert, Nick Ede held a big party to celebrate his 38th birthday.

Staged at London hotspot DSTRKT in association with Metparties, the theme was Dallas Glamour, with shoulder pads and cowboy boots aplenty!

Guests were entertained by a host of talent. World famous Magician Katherine Mills performed amazing tricks to stupefy the crowds, whilst dance troupe Waacktitioners danced for their captivated audience.

As the night went on, music was provided by DJ NIKKI and Nate James as celebs supped on Champagne and Dallas themed ‘Sue Ellen and J.R’cocktails. Guests also enjoyed delicious canapés including pork sliders with tequila BBQ sauce and homemade tortilla chips with guacamole and black beans, carrying on the Texan theme.

A brilliant night was had by all, and we want to wish Nick a huge Happy Birthday.  The party was covered by quite a few publications including:

This week saw EdenCancan’s own PR Guru and Celebrity Style Expert, Nick Ede, holding his annual event, ‘A Night With Nick’ at Swarovski’s Crystallized Lounge on Tuesday the 6th of December .

This is a cause very close to Nick’s heart and we were all so proud to be part of such a great event, which saw a host of Nick’s friends come out to help raise the profile of The Stroke Association.

The theme for the show was Biology, and this led to some really interesting designs; with evolution, natural science, growth, origin and structure featured.

The event was fantastically well attended and showcased some brilliant creativity. Well done to all the students for such a great show!!!

It’s nearly Christmas and we’re all starting to get very excited about it in the office (especially Account Manager, Kirsty, who has been celebrating since September!).  We’re slightly late, but decorations will be up soon; More on that next week!

EdenCancan launch ‘BBC Children in Need Celebrity Style Challenge 2011′

It has been a very busy couple of weeks for BBC Children in Need in the run up to appeal night (which is tonight!) and EdenCancan have been very excited to play a part in this years campaign.

As previously blogged, BBC Children in Need POP Goes the Musical ran throughout September and last week we helped launch BBC Children in Need Celebrity Style Challenge 2011, which  saw five celebrities designing clothes for Debenhams.

Alexandra Burke, Chipmunk, Kevin Pietersen, Patsy Kensit and Tamara Ecclestone all signed up to the Style Challenge and were tasked with creating a fashion item that would go on sale to the public.  Along the way they have been helped with advice and mentoring by international fashion designer, Ben de Lisi.

Singing sensation Alexandra Burke developed partywear, British rapper Chipmunk took on streetwear, and renowned actress Patsy Kensit devised a smart tailored jacket. Model and presenter Tamara Ecclestone has shown off her vibrancy by creating occasionwear and cricket legend Kevin Pietersen designed a modern shirt and tie combo.

See the celebrities wearing their fabulous designs here:
